History

  • 1997-Dec-17: AutoCAD was one of the software tools we had to use in our final year of engineering study. When a project was required to be submitted as part of our curriculum, I developed this AutoCAD plug-in by learning the language AutoLISP which is an extension of LISP. It was fun developing it and I made equivalents of most of the hydrolic components from our hydrolics books for this project. Later on our head of the department didn't accept this as a curriculum project as he didnt want anything related to software as a mechanical engineering project. This was then tested in Version 9 and 10 of AutoCAD and was never used after that.

The zip file contains source and asset files required to load this plugin in AutoCAD. You will require an old version of AutoCAD running on DOS. You can enable 16 bit support on Windows 32 bit versions but on 64 bit versions, you will need a DOS emulator like DOS Box or vDOS.
