South America, fourth largest of the world’s continents is known for Andean peaks, Amazonian rainforest, Patagonian glaciers, Incan ruins, colonial towns, and white-sand beaches. It may also be considered a subcontinent of the Americas, and the Spanish and Portuguese-speaking regions of the Americas.

My Trip

• 2019 November 01 to 15 (2 Weeks): I embarked on an adventure of a lifetime to Brazil and Peru with a friend, exploring all the must-see sights and even delving into the depths of the Amazon jungle. We also just set foot in Argentina while visiting the border near Iguazu falls. With a total of 10 local flights in addition to the long haul flights from Doha, we had quite an extensive itinerary, albeit mostly unplanned. We preferred the thrill of spontaneous travel, booking hotels and flights on the go, even though it did cause some minor hiccups along the way. Nonetheless, it was an unforgettable journey and a dream come true for me.

Brazil

• Passengers with a handwritten passport are not allowed to enter.

• Get the following documents ready: Photo with white background, Sponsors Letter, 3 Month Bank statement, Return ticket, Hotel booking in Arrival city, Tour plan document, Passport, Qatar Id, Photo of signature
• Go to https://formulario-mre.serpro.gov.br/sci/pages/web/pacomPasesWebInicial.jsf
• Change the language to English, Click on Visas, Start New Application
• Fill in all details (Basics, parents details, etc.) and upload Photo, signature, passport copy, and return ticket.
• After completion, save and print the confirmation document, fix photo on it and leave the sign blank for now so you can sign in front of the officer.
• Go to embassy at https://goo.gl/maps/orz6SRDrZ7qSWzA26 (8 AM to 11 AM), press the calling bell to get the gate opened, enter the consular building and hand over the application after signing it and with all the support documents, originals and copies of Passport and Qatar Id.
• They will charge 358 QAR on PoS and use your debit card for it.
• They will just verify Passport and ID and give them back.
• Next day or so, check the status on https://formulario-mre.serpro.gov.br/sci/pages/web/pacomPasesWebInicial.jsf (Click "Check Status" button)
• If the status is "Ready for Delivery", go to embassy again with original Passport and Id and get the visa stamped.

Peru

• Nationals of India with a normal passport and a visa issued by Australia, Canada, USA, United Kingdom or a Schengen Member State for a maximum stay of 180 days. The visa must be valid for a minimum of 6 months from the arrival date.
